Improve the appearance and health of your aquatic shoreline
Lakes and Ponds are often a central focus in the layout and design of residential and commercial real estate. A clean and healthy body of water can increase the owner's appreciation and enjoyment as well as the value of their property. A well established shoreline will minimize erosion and provide a clean visual transition to the water as well as reducing the time and effort spent managing weeds and invasive aquatic plants.
Water based dredging services protect your landscaping
During dredging projects PAF Construction is sensitive to the natural elements that call your lake or pond home. From native plants, shrubs, trees and soil ph levels the barge based solution has minimal effect on your yard and landscape. You invest time, money and energy in your landscape and the professionals at PAF ensure the preservation of your shoreline environment.
Revive your shoreline with deeper and clearer water
The elements of nature are in constant transition due to the forces of nature. Wind and rain carries sand, soil, clay particles, organic materials, and other objects into your lake or pond and becomes a layer of sediment. Over time the accumulation of sediment and silt along shorelines and in channels makes them increasingly shallow. A shallow pond or lake is subsceptible to invasive aquatic species and has a detrimental effect on aquatic animals as well as boating and fishing activities.
Improve conditions for your aquatic animals
As organic materials settle in your pond, they begin the decomposition process. Decomposition requires oxygen, which is pulled from the water. While small amounts of organic material won’t cause an issue, larger accumulations can greatly reduce the amount of oxygen in the bottom of your pond or lake, resulting in an anoxic layer of water and sludge. In the anoxic layer, decomposition doesn't take place, and the sludge layer will continue to increase as more organics end up in the pond or lake.
After dredging services your lake or pond will be deeper and have an increased ability to support aquatic animals through a normal balance of decomposing materials and a reduced quantity of aquatic weeds.
No mess, No muck, No Fuss
For every two acres of lake or pond dredged, there’s an average of three feet of sediment or muck. While you have the option of keeping the sediment on your property if you choose, we include the removal of the sediment and silt from your property as included in our quote.
